One of my favorite singers…Joan Baez.
And with one of my favorite creatures…a black cat.
Found you through The Pet Museum, so glad!

Oh thanx for your comment! Yes I love her too. And black cats of course. One of the Cultural Cat-bloggers lives with a black cat :D

I didn’t know about the link from The Pet Museum! Thank you for telling us. You are welcome to follow us on twitter too to get reminders of every post. We try to post a new cultural cat every day.

      Have a great day!

I actually chose to follow via e-mail when I commented.
The Pet Museum finds everyone eventually–she found me too.
Right now I live with five black cats, all related
but in 30 years of rescue and foster have lived with and average nine cats at a time
and photographed and painted and written about each one,
as well as other “cultural cats”–Twain, Eliot.
I look forward to reading daily.

Oh I am so jealous, 5 cats!!! I only have two. One of them is a rescue cat – Kelly. What are the names of your cats?

Marcus–I’ve rescued and fostered for 30 years and I’m always tempted to list them all, but for now my five black cats are all related, the mom and her adult children, age 5, originally named after roles in the opera “La Boheme”, but their names have evolved…Mimi is the mama, and Giuseppe (Verdi), Mewsette (Musetta), Mr. Sunshine (Luciano) and Jelly Bean (Rodolfo). Last year I lost a kitty named Kelly, my 19-year-old tortie, and a few months before her I lost my 20-year-old tortie Cookie. If you visit my blog today I featured a photo of Kelly from a few years ago, and a photo of three of the siblings, and on my personal FB page I have a photo of Cookie with all five in a really neat shot in my header. There’s always a story!

      LOVE the opera names!

You won’t believe this but one of MY cats is also named Kelly! Here is a picture of her:

So sorry that you lost her. I cant imagine that sorrow since all of my cats are still alive (6years + 2 years). Does the other cats mourn also?
