The nobel scandal

The Cultural Cat staff is pretty disappointed to find out a that the Nobel Prize 2014 is awarded a writer who doesn’t have have a cat. It is quite the scandal to be honest. Especially since the permanent secretary of the Swedish academy, announcer of the Nobel Prize in literature, is a cat lover. His cats are called Pollux and Castor, same as the nicknames Simone de Beauvoir and Jean Paul Sartre used to have for each other. Kind of cute isn’t it?

This is pollux.

And this is Castor

Castor is latin for “beaver” and “beaver” is an alternative slang for “pussy” (as in vagina). The word “pussy” is also slang for cat.

The photo above shows us Castor in a private situation.

By the way, how many of the Nobel Prize-winners were cat-owners?
