Multi-artist Anna Lindblom has a favorite motive that we totally agree with.

He has beaming eyes

The fur is grey and white

He howls like a wolf

He scratches with his paw

Now it is sick and old

My cat is 80 years old

Poem writer Gustav

This redhead cutie called Gustav typed the origin set of poems which his human, Göran Greider, later edited and published as a collection. The collection of poems where sold for donations to Animal protection  (rescue?) Sweden. Gustav is no longer with us but Göran still loves cats besides politcs.

The nobel scandal

The Cultural Cat staff is pretty disappointed to find out a that the Nobel Prize 2014 is awarded a writer who doesn’t have have a cat. It is quite the scandal to be honest. Especially since the permanent secretary of the Swedish academy, announcer of the Nobel Prize in literature, is a cat lover. His cats are called Pollux and Castor, same as the nicknames Simone de Beauvoir and Jean Paul Sartre used to have for each other. Kind of cute isn’t it?

This is pollux.

And this is Castor

Brief Incident in Short a, Long a, and Schwa

Cat, gray tabby, calm, watches large, black ant. Man, rapt, stands staring at cat and ant. Ant advances along path. Ant halts, baffled. Ant back-tracks fast—straight at cat. Cat, alarmed, backs away. Man, standing, staring, laughs. Ant changes path again. Cat, calm again, watches again.
